Who we are
Vocabulary App (vocabularyapp.net) is the website of the Telegram bot @InterSubWords_bot, made by InterSub (intersub.cc).
The site is run by Intersub Inc., 220 East 23rd Street, Suite 400, New York, NY 10010, United States. Email: support@intersub.cc.
This policy covers the website only. The bot is a separate service. See below.
What we collect on the site
The site has no accounts. We collect:
- analytics data, if you allow it: the pages you open, clicks on “Open in Telegram”, the site you came from, your approximate location, and your device and browser type;
- your email and message, if you write to us through the contact form.
Our server doesn’t keep access logs. The contact form service holds your IP address in memory for up to 10 minutes, only to limit how often messages can be sent.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 and Yandex Metrica to see how visitors use the site: which pages they open and how they get to the bot.
Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica load only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you decline, nothing is sent to them. We don’t use Metrica’s session recording (Webvisor).
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Contact form
The form asks for your email and your message. Our website’s form service passes them to us by email through SendPulse. We use them only to reply to you.
To stop spam, the form has a hidden field and limits how often messages can be sent.
The bot is a separate service
@InterSubWords_bot works in Telegram and keeps its own data. This site doesn’t receive any data from the bot.
You manage your bot data in the bot. The /delete command deletes your bot account and its data.
Links from this site to the bot carry a source tag (start=site_…), so the bot knows which page of the site you came from.
Who processes data for us
- Google (Google Analytics): website analytics, if you accept cookies.
- Yandex (Yandex Metrica): website analytics, if you accept cookies.
- Amazon Web Services: hosting. The site runs on a server in the United States.
- SendPulse: delivers contact form messages to us by email.
You can read more about how these companies handle data in their privacy policies. Your data may be processed in the United States, Russia and other countries where they operate.
How long we keep data
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics; in Yandex Metrica, under Yandex’s terms.
- Contact form messages: as long as we need them to reply to you.
- Your cookie choice: in your browser for 12 months, then we ask again. You can change it earlier or clear it with your browser data.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we have about you and ask us to correct or delete it. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time with “Cookie settings”. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
